The guest rooms are arguably the most important of a hotel. Recently W Austin completed a hotel renovation project. Its guest rooms feature furniture from Samuelson Furniture that highlights a strong intersection of design, craftsmanship and guest experience. These guest rooms are a great example of how custom furnishings can transform small spaces without compromising identity or functionality.
As part of a comprehensive renovation led by Blur Workshop, W Austin reimagines 251 guest rooms to reflect the city’s vibrant music, art and culinary culture. The broader project also includes updated dining spaces and a transformed courtyard.
Samuelson Furniture was selected to bring Blur Workshop’s vision to life through custom furnishings for each guest room, including a curved sofa, lounge chair, bedframe and closet elements. Each piece was thoughtfully designed to maximize space, elevate comfort, and introduce rich textures and distinctive character—enhancing the overall guest experience.
